Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Andrea Babbino, Founder of Andrea B. Coaching, located in Easton, PA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a transformation coach for entrepreneurs who are looking to break through their personal challenges. Owning a business can be overwhelming at times, even more so when there are personal obstacles and internal roadblocks that stand in the way of success. I work with business owners, who are looking to eradicate their mental strongholds, so they can elevate their lives and businesses.

Tell us about yourself

Growing up in the family business, I saw the people I cared about working really hard without much to show for it. More often than not, they ended their day feeling defeated and energetically drained. Over time, I began to realize that it was often their personal challenges and internal roadblocks that were hindering them from the success they desired in their business.

I became a student of self-improvement and psychology. It became a mission of mine to help business owners who were feeling stuck or dealing with personal obstacles to re-ignite their purpose and break through their challenges. The world needs entrepreneurs to not only survive but thrive. They are the backbone of a strong economy. It's my purpose in life and mission to make sure that they can do just that, both personally and professionally.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Hands down, my biggest accomplishment has been to have the freedom to give away some of my services to those who are truly in need. It's an awesome experience to see someone go from seemingly hopeless to having a re-ignited purpose and nothing standing in their way of accomplishing it. It's truly an honor and a privilege to be in the position to serve.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Not standing in your own way. Sometimes, when we try to overanalyze things to create perfection, what we really create is procrastination. In an attempt to move things along the right way, we, in fact, never get started on new ventures, ideas, innovations, etc. We need to be our own best friends and not our own closest enemies.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Just get going. Progress over perfection EVERY time. The kinks can be worked out along the way.
  2. Surround yourself with the right people. The environment you place yourself in, and the energy that surrounds you will determine your success or failure.
  3. Look for the lesson. We're human, and inevitably there will be things that we feel have gone wrong or that we could have done better. Don't dwell on the problem. Focus on the solution and look for the lesson.
