What's your business, and who are your customers?

Arch Brow Bar is a niche expert brow styling salon that focuses on achieving the best brow for our client's unique facial features, personal style and lifestyle. We strive to always provide the very best customer service while delivering the very best proportioned brows for you. Our customers are everyone who wants the best brows for their face. Arch's highly trained team caters to women and men, pre-teens and beyond, who have beautiful natural brows that need taming to more challenging brows that grow in less common shapes, and those who need an expert eye and precision hands to correct a more difficult brow.

Tell us about yourself

When I first developed my signature brow technique, there were no other stylists who solely focused on brows. As my passion grew, so did my networking and my following. My career was on the rise, and I was featured in local newspapers on WOR radio in NY and in all the local magazines. I opened my business after I started hiring and training my technique to stylists, and we needed more space for our growing brow styling demand. That was 15 years ago, and now Arch has grown to a team of 30 amazing women. Our team loves taking care of our clients who come from all over NJ, NY, and beyond to have their brows expertly shaped by one of our Browistas. I'm motivated by helping my team grow exciting, uplifting, and artistic careers that they love, the clients we serve, all in our incredibly empowering culture where we create master stylists as well as mentors for our up-and-coming superstars.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment by far is helping my team build careers that they love and teaching them a skill that they are passionate about.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a business owner is having to make all the decisions yourself and feeling responsible for the livelihoods of everyone on your team. It begins and ends with the owner.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be passionate about your product or services. When you follow your passion, the hard work you will need to put into it comes naturally.
  2. Keep adding value to your clients. When your clients feel you are taking the best care of them and they are receiving the best service, they will keep coming back, and they will keep sharing their experiences.
  3. Creating a positive and empowering work culture. Your team is crucial to the success of your business. Your business is crucial to the success of your team. They are one in the same. Take amazing care of your team, and they will take amazing care of your clients or product.
