What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a therapeutic massage therapy clinic. I cater to the on-the-go Bay St crowd. People who are career-driven as well as care about their health and well-being.
Tell us about yourself
My love of movement and sports is what got me into massage therapy. I’ve branched out into becoming a personal trainer, but life has led me back to being a full-time RMT. But it’s my love of the body and working out that keeps me healthy to continue operating at my peak. As far as what keeps me going each day, it’s clichéd but being able to help people is what keeps me going every day. There are few things better than chatting with a patient after treatment and then telling you just how great they feel.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Branching out onto my own and building up a clinic that I am proud to call mine.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Make sure you’re not always going to go. It naturally is an ebb and flows throughout the year, so realize you need to rest when you can get so that you can smash it when you need to.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Back yourself.
- Ask for help when needed.
- There will always be naysayers and people who are scared, don’t let them influence you.
