What's your business, and who are your customers?
My name is Lisa, and I work under the name Beyond Egos. I support people in their healing and awakening process through energy healing, ceremonies, and (private) retreats.
Tell us about yourself
During my first Ayahuasca ceremony, a voice spoke to me and told me that I have to start working with healing and that this is what my task is in this world. I didn't have a clue what healing meant, but something touched me very deeply. Without any doubt, I started this path, and seeing other people healing, growing, awakening, and developing is what keeps me going with so much joy and satisfaction.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to do my work abroad in a beautiful country (Tenerife), in a conscious community. Attracting people from other countries to come here to receive profound healing. Many people left here as different people, and facilitating this positive change in people's lives is the most important thing in the world for me.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
At times I have felt quite lonely. The feeling of carrying everything by myself and not having direct colleagues to discuss things with.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Follow your heart and put energy into the things that spark up your fire inside.
- Be open to feedback but don't let it influence you too much. Be critical about who is giving the feedback and the intention behind it. Family members, for instance, want you to be safe and stable, but this fear is not sustainable for you.
- Learn from your mistakes, and use them to grow. Don't be afraid to make mistakes; it's the most natural way of learning. Trial and error, etc. You will get there. Never give up!
