Embody More Love - Bindupoint

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Larise Kia, Founder of Bindupoint, located in Lake Elsinore, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I hold still and moving meditation classes, events, and retreats at this point. I had a center in San Fernando Valley that was eventually shut down because of the pandemic. There were 70 plus teachers, including me holding an array of life-transforming classes, workshops, and events. My clients are self-aware and take responsibility for self-care and their development. They may start through a curiosity or a deep calling or reaching out after a trauma, or simply knowing its time!

Tell us about yourself

I started working on my business in the early 90s but didn't open a formal center until 2018. Prior to that, I would rent out studios to hold classes. I got started because I wanted to give back what I was experiencing in my own transformation and awakening in union with nature and spirit. My love of sharing joy and beauty, which is our natural inheritance, once realized, has been forgotten in a world of duality.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The biggest accomplishment that I made, besides creating the center with 70 plus teachers and a full program of 60 plus classes per week, is definitely the lives I've touched through the grace of what was transpired within all the programs that were offered.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Dealing with bureaucracy meeting with every small or large restriction made by the system that doesn't support care but only profit. By far, the hardest thing was closing my business due to the pandemic.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

To be fully clear of all the choices that you need to make. If not sure, explore more options. Never, ever dismiss a red flag; as much as you like to believe it would work, in the end, it won't. Red flags will have you get to have more problems to solve. Slow down and don't make decisions prematurely; if you are rushed, stop and say no until you feel the full Yes!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

It is my wish for every business owner to succeed. We all want to contribute back to the community; it's important to sauce out the reason/s for having a business and to stay grounded and real to yourself that is not censored. Always one step out of time, building the business on a strong ground where every step has been modified accurately and rests in full clarity.
