What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a Drone Service Provider (DSP), providing actionable aerial data to the following industries: Utilities, Environmental, Transportation & Civic Engineering, A&E, and Construction.
Tell us about yourself
My husband, Scott Painter & I started Birds Eye Aerial Drones, LLC in 2014. Scott was coming off retiring from the military and working in a war zone for over 25 years. I have a degree in marketing and graphics and a love of photography which inspired me to join him. We've since grown from photography/videography to big data. I am inspired daily to do what we do by the influence and impact we have on our employees' lives. We also are able to solve problems for our clients so that they can do their jobs even better. Inspiring, solving, and impacting those around me brings me great satisfaction.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Taking our 2-person business to a 150+ person business in just under 3 years.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Time & Financial Management.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Put in the research up font.
- Do it right/legally.
- Surround yourself with experts in the areas you are weak.
