What's your business, and who are your customers?
Blue Sky Colorado Elopements provides all-inclusive elopement wedding packages in breathtaking outdoor locations throughout Colorado. Our clients are busy professionals who want to ditch the stress of a traditional wedding. We package all elopement services under one umbrella, and our in-house coordinators handle all of the details. Services include venue location scouting and procurement of permits, officiating, photography, videography, bridal hair and makeup, flowers, and assistance with transportation, lodging, catering, car rentals, and cakes.
Tell us about yourself
I founded Blue Sky Elopements in 2002 after officiating weddings for many years before that. I found there were very few businesses that were offering high-quality services to eloping couples.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We've been in business for over 20 years with thousands of happily married couples!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Managing all the administrative details - there's more to it than just providing fabulous service to our couples.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Start small.
- Find your niche and market to it.
- Don't try to replicate what everyone else is doing. Stand out from the crowd by being you.
