Tell us about yourself

I'm Kristen, the gal behind the camera at Blush Baby Photo. My story is one that many of my clients relate to: I went to college, did the corporate thing, felt the pull of my own creative goals, and decided to define happiness and success on my own terms. Hello, Blush Baby Photo! I enjoy making my clients feel seen, supported, and special. I have the utmost compassion for the realities of raising babies and kiddos. When working with Blush Baby Photo, you are not just a client—you become a friend. The genuine bond I develop with my clients is deep and meaningful. I love keeping in touch and seeing your family grow.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

There's a lot to love about my job—I mean, hanging out with teensy babies and fun-loving kiddos?? Pretty amazing. But there's one moment in every client project that takes my breath away every single time: The pure, genuine emotion my clients feel when they see their finished portraits for the first time.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Patience. It doesn't happen overnight. BUT! If you get up every day and do what you love, you're winning right there.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do it. There's no better time than NOW!
  2. Outsource. You don't have to do it all!
  3. Network. Find your people!
