What's your business, and who are your customers?

Born To Lead® provides leaders an operating system to start, grow & lead 100s-1000s of clients in their own leverageable, proprietary program.

Tell us about yourself

Living a Family-First Lifestyle that I never believed was possible. Time to train & challenge myself yearly to one unreal human feet (knee setback this year...but still working towards my 100m race). I am motivated daily to show Leaders how to implement this Leader Operating System™ because it breaks my heart to hear the same stories time and time again that Leaders are being taught to be entrepreneurs or business owners and are told to: Grind, Hustle & Sacrifice. Instead of finding a healthy, fulfilling existence, the person was told they have to make a choice. Choose your business or choose your life. You can't have both. Ultimately, the leader breaks down and believes they were the problem.

Copy The "Winner." Instead of designing a business that is simple and aligns with their talents, gifts & visions, the person is told to follow the absolute truths of the successful, and it should work. If it doesn't...well, clearly that person did something wrong or just isn't a winner.

Market. Sell. Launch. Repeat. Instead of providing the audience a clear, simple path to experience how they can help, the person is sent on an endless vortex of complicating the path and pulling them away from the audience...ultimately struggling to rise above the noise.

Build Multiple $-$$$ Products. Instead of creating one masterpiece program that meets & exceeds the needs of their client, the person continues to build one product after another, trying to meet the needs of everyone. Sadly, the complexity confuses people and very few buyers.

Spend Decade(s) Transforming Oneself. Instead of seeing, implementing, and mastering the gifts you were born with, so many people are told they must change into someone else in order to be successful. Not only do they lose confidence, but they often become who they truly are.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I'm lucky to have been instilled with the optimism to overcome the many (and I mean many) failures over ten years to start and sell two of my own companies and lead over 200+ clients in Born to Lead®, where they've earned an estimated $75 million. But most importantly? They are doing it from a place that aligns with their heart, serves clients they love, and allows them to live life without the limitations of money, time or fear.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The majority of the time, as a business owner, you have to make decisions all by yourself. Sometimes you have people who are onboard. Other people will question you. But at the end of the day, to continuously make decisions, not always sure you're making the right one...that is the constant challenge we face as business owners.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. A copycat of someone else's business is doomed to fail. The business must first and foremost align with you, the leader.
  2. One is the most important number in your business. What is the one focus in your business right now? The one marketing channel? The one program? The one conversion mechanism?
  3. Be open to allowing prospects, partners, and your network a chance to experience what you do best. To hide what you do simply stunts you're capable of.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Family comes first, and family isn't always bonded by blood. Building a family is the most important thing I've done in my life.
