We Get CEO’s Off the Phone - Brock Schadler

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Brock Schadler, co-founder of Tigerblood.io, located in Bend, OR, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We help time-poor business owners by building them DFY sales teams or coaching their current ones, helping them add an extra 20-40 hours per week back to their calendar while driving higher profits.

Tell us about yourself

It happened organically while I was working for a large marketing agency. I found there was a HUGE issue with retention. I would sign up a client for a large marketing deal and get them leads, but they couldn't close them. Unfortunately, the blame always falls on the agency, so I started coaching my clients to give them a fighting chance and drive better results.

I quickly found that by committing to coaching them upfront, they also had more faith in hiring us. It finally got to the point where I realized I should be charging, given the results my clients were getting, and poof! My coaching business passion project was born.

Business is an extension of self, so If I want the business to be wildly successful, I need to strive to be the very best version of myself possible. That really drives/motivates me and gives me the discipline to show up every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Two things:

  1. Launching (This took me two years too long.)
  2. Selling 35k in 4 days from launching the business full-time.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

For me, the hardest thing is knowing when to stop. I'm easily working 50-70 hours a week. I know I'm in my purpose and flow, so it doesn't feel like work to me : ) But my sleep has suffered on occasion, so I make sure to be mindful to shut it down.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Stop caring what others think NOW (practice it daily).
  2. Do the thing that you're afraid to do, and do it today.
  3. Get in the arena, and stop sitting on the sidelines.
