What's your business, and who are your customers?
Buggy Pops is a handcrafted popsicle seasonal business operating from a trike and cart. Buggy Pops has the best customers! Our customers are people who value good food and are connected to the maker of the product.
Tell us about yourself
It took taking a little hiatus to figure out what was next in my life. I am not very good at making plans & tend to go with the flow more often than not when it comes to career decisions. The idea to start Buggy Pops came from eating popsicles all of the time & realizing that this was something I could do myself. Every day I am motivated by the possibilities of what is around the corner that I don't even know about yet.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is getting to where I am right now. Along the way, I've had some luck, shed some tears, and celebrated many things that I never even thought were possible.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is wearing so many hats. In the beginning, I had no choice but to do everything myself. It can be very scary to delegate & pay for the things you don't enjoy doing. Hiring an accountant and bookkeeper is the best thing I've ever done!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- It isn't as easy as it looks.
- There is enough business for everyone. (Best advice that was given to me).
- Stop listening to the minute someone starts off with "you know what you SHOULD do..."
