What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a Facebook and Instagram ad strategist. I help entrepreneurs and small businesses get seen on the largest platform in the world, get more brand awareness, get more leads, and make more sales.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a single mom to 2 young girls. I started my business in 2017 as a way to stay home with my girls and take care of them. I never imagined that it would turn into what it has. I started out as a virtual assistant and then wanted to dive into something that was slightly more challenging. I took a deeper dive into digital advertising and just loved it! For the first time in my life, I finally felt like I was living up to my full potential. I love helping entrepreneurs and small businesses grow and scale their businesses. I feel like I am making a difference in this world. My biggest motivation to keep moving forward and to keep going in my business, even when things get hard or scary, are my children. I want to show them that with determination, perseverance, hard work, and a dream, that you really can create the life of your dreams.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to give back to my community by partnering with other business owners and non-profits.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Finding work/life balance. I'm a digital entrepreneur, so I can bring my laptop with me anywhere and work from anywhere. If something needs to get done or there is an emergency, I just hop on my computer. I have had to create boundaries with myself so I can unplug and enjoy my downtime.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Invest in a business coach, someone that can help you navigate starting a business and is in the trenches with you.
- Get some kind of system or organizational software in place. Automating tasks will help you in the long run.
- Progress over perfection. Don't let perfectionism hold you back.
