What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is broken down into three segments - massage therapy, postural therapy, and wellness coaching. My customers are people that are committed to their health and constant improvement.
Tell us about yourself
I’ve been a massage therapist for 25 years as I’ve always liked to serve and help others in their daily life with mindset and body awareness. I love seeing people shift their perspectives and progress in their overall health and well-being.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment was writing my personal story about learning to accept and love myself through my journey of codependency, addiction relationships, parenting, and entrepreneurship.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is changing with the times. After 25 years, I’ve seen a lot of changes in how business is done and what people expect of small businesses. Learning to adapt to new technologies can be a challenge that I’m learning to explore right now.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- What makes you different than the rest? There can be 100 people that do what you do, so understanding what sets you apart from your competition is important.
- Learning how to market yourself in today’s technology environment will give you a step up above the rest.
- Be teachable and never think you have all the answers. There is always someone who knows more than you and someone that knows less. Always be willing to listen.
