What's your business, and who are your customers?
For the past 50 years, we have been providing sales, service, training, products & consulting to small & large corporations looking at opening a cafe or improving their coffee/espresso offerings. We are the oldest in Western Canada that have been offering this kind of service, importing Italian products into Canada for the purpose of all coffee.
Tell us about yourself
My father had started the business before I was born. Having been exposed to the family business, it was only a matter of time before I would be handed the opportunity to carry our family business. What motivates me is knowing I may have a chance to help someone become successful at their own business or improve it, "their success is our success."
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Taking what my father had started and making it better. Being able to continue his legacy and make it my own. Receiving the respect and confidence from our new clients as well as our existing ones.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The buck stops with you.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Know your business inside and out.
- Lead by example in the business and around your community.
- Know when to ask for help. You won't have all the answers. You can always learn something new.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Success can be measured in many ways; when you discover that your place of work is fun, challenging, satisfying, it is no longer is a job but a place where you can accomplish great things. Meet new people and share in the growth of others. Hard work and perseverance are always rewarded in monetary or harmony, whichever you desire.
