Pump Fitness Academy - Chris Reiter

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and fitness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Chris Reiter, CEO of Pump Fitness Academy, located in Fort McMurray, AB, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a personal training business that helps lose fat, swell, and change their lives. Right now, we are on a mission to help over 1 million people achieve their goals and make them better parents, friends, and family by improving their health and knowledge.

Tell us about yourself

After getting out of the military, I decided I wanted to help people in a different way than most others don't do. Unfortunately, in the fitness industry, there are a lot of lies and marketing tactics that force people to pay money for services that don't work well. We want to be part of that change and make a difference in the industry.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment to date would be deciding to go out on my own and be the positive change that people need in their lives.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing is getting noticed as someone different than the rest. Because of all the bad information out there, we all get blanketed with the same look, which is not the case with us.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Work hard; the most effective way to succeed is a non-stop work ethic. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it if you keep working at it.
