Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Darryl Chicoine, Founder of DC Digital Group LLC., located in Hudson, FL, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help geographically restricted entrepreneurs to transform from old-school income strategies to the new century of digital business using wifi technology. It automates sales and marketing for local businesses using only one digital strategy, which eliminates the tech confusion and time and effort needed to create awareness for any local business.

Tell us about yourself

Armed with the battle scars from 32 years of my own ventures, I have gained hard-earned lessons and formulated (through extensive research - top mentors and coaches on this planet) strong views on founding, failing, and flourishing in business, real estate and now going digital businesses for the past six years. In my previous life/business chapter, I was working hard and playing hard... but was still just over broke even though owning and operating a 7 figure granite business.

At age 50, I had a health scare. I stopped "working for money" (trading time for money) and started working on digital and real estate projects that paid more and more efficiently. Through years of personal self-development studies, I was able to evolve into DC 2.0 and am now working on expanding myself again, DC 3.0, with my digital business through big collaborations that will help others create an elevated lifestyle too while even building my business faster and bigger than I could on my own.

I am also currently studying and seeking commercial real estate investments to purchase apartment buildings funded by my digital businesses, my new connections (people ready to retire with huge real estate portfolios), and my digital partners (when I can make them enough money using my system). I am focused on living a high-performance life using the ICS Method and am now sharing this personal and business game plan with others so they can also stop struggling and start thriving as well.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would have to say the day I decided to no longer trade my time for money. I transitioned from working for money to working on projects that gave me more freedom and more money with less effort. This decision was made from my years of personal self-development knowledge and not my emotions, behaviors, and programming.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Looking back, the hardest thing was unlearning all the things that were programmed into me as an entrepreneur. Things like: money is hard to make, you have to work hard for money, there are no shortcuts, feelings of unworthiness, not good enough for those big dreams, fear of failure, fear of success, and fear in general. That is why I preach that mindset is the first skill every entrepreneur must learn before they can become a huge success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Unlearn everything you think you know about business.
  2. Think way bigger. We are not limited whatsoever.
  3. Learn these five things, and you will own the world: Sales, Marketing, Communication, Social Media, and Branding.

Where can people find you and your business?
