What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a licensed naturopathic physician practicing in Central Washington. I help wellness seekers overcome gut pain and discomfort by taking control of their digestive system.
Tell us about yourself
I was a sick kid who became fed up with the medical system as a teen. I knew drugs weren’t the answer to my questions, so I began studying nutrition and alternative healthcare. Now I use my story and my knowledge to help others break free of the medical matrix and learn to heal naturally.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Recently, with help from my health coach, I launched a group coaching program aimed at reaching more people at a lower cost. In the 12-week interactive course, we cover everything a person needs to know to take back control of their health and feel confident in their ability to overcome or avoid familial diseases like IBS, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and cancer.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The most challenging thing about owning a business is balancing my work/life balance. This is one reason why I love working with fellow business owners on their health issues. I know if my health starts to suffer, it’s usually because I’m giving work an unhealthy amount of my attention.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Make sure your business is in alignment with your life purpose. If you’re not sure what that is, do some work to figure it out. Owning and managing a busy is hard work, so there has to be some greater mission or purpose to fuel you.
