Tell us about yourself
The cost of living and food waste continues to go up each day. By buying what-you-eat, our objective is to help families save real dollars, reduce waste, and not to forget over 20+ hours each month running meal-prep chores. Hearing stories from our customers who are meeting these objectives is a great motivator for me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We are one of the first few food-tech startups in Atlantic Canada that are a part of the three prestigious incubators - Propel ICT, Innovacorp, and VoltaLabs. This brings huge confidence to our team to execute, learn and evolve!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Everything is a high priority when you are running a business yourself. Being able to prioritize, focus and take meaningful steps has helped us to continue on our growth path.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Revenue trumps everything.
- Network and don't hesitate to share your idea (Feedback is GOLD!).
- Your first few team members could make or break your firm. Make sure you surround yourself with people who believe in your vision.
