What's your business, and who are your customers?
I offer bookkeeping and tax services to solo entrepreneurs who are big enough to need to understand their numbers but not big enough for the service to break their already small budgets.
Tell us about yourself
I saw a need, and I offered a solution. Big accounting firms are expensive; I get it they have tons of overheard. Their prices often leave out an entire group of small business owners that need bookkeeping and tax services but can’t afford to pay thousands of dollars for them. Small business owners need to have profit and loss statements and yearly tax returns too. Their businesses are big enough to where the owner doesn’t have time or the know-how to manage their finances themselves because they are busy making money, but it is still an important task that needs to be completed affordably. That’s my audience; that’s my sweet spot. The small female ran businesses motivate me. Knowing I helped a business decipher its numbers so that it can grow, hire employees, pay itself, and give back to its communities is my motivation.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being featured in my hometown newspaper on the front page.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
To have clients that make repeated transactions with your business time and time again!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Learn as much as you can for free and then pay people for their expertise so you don’t make mistakes in your business early on.
