What's your business, and who are your customers?

Brickell Babe Bible is a community for new and existing Miami girls who are looking to expand their social and professional circles.

Tell us about yourself

I recently relocated to Miami from NYC in January 2022. After living in New York for 11 years, I have a very strong network of successful females up there, but I was missing a group of girls that inspire me personally and professionally in Miami. After a weekend of sitting in my apartment feeling sorry for myself, I decided to put together a meetup for girls who were new to Miami's Brickell neighborhood.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is creating a community. Hearing stories about girls who find roommates, jobs, or build new friendships after meeting through our social media groups or in-person meetups reminds me why I do this.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Tuning out the noise of competitors and nay-sayers. Stay in your own lane, keep your head down, and trust your instincts.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get organized from the get-go. Setting up structures & processes out of the gate will make things a lot easier down the road. You never know when things are going to take off with your business, so use any downtime to plan ahead!
  2. Outsource what you aren't an expert in or don't like to do. For me, that means outsourcing legal, agreements, accounting, and taxes.
  3. Automate. I love Zapier, Squarespace, and Flodesk. Again, set the structure and let the AI and algorithm work for you.
