Fitness. Community. Support. - Enact Wellness Solutions

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and fitness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jessica White, Founder, and CEO of Enact Wellness Solutions, located in Saint Charles, MO, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a wellness community for women. We focus on social and mental health, fitness, and nutrition. The everyday woman is just trying to live each day healthier and better. We look at wellness as a whole working unit. Like a big spinning wheel. If you remove a part of the wheel, like mental health, your wheel does not spin correctly. They all have to move together; they keep things moving and in balance.

Tell us about yourself

I have lost a total of 170 pounds and kept it off for more than nineteen years! I know what it takes to achieve total health. It takes a community and education. I have worked for years in box and chain gyms. They do not provide the education or community that the average person needs to change their health. I wanted to create a comfortable and unintimidating environment for women to be themselves and implement change that will last forever. I stay motivated to work hard and grow my business because no one else out there is teaching what we teach, and it is so needed.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Changing the way women in my community look at themselves and at the word fitness. Fitness is not a punishment for what you have done but a way to reward and love your body.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hard work with no time off and no sick days. It also gets really hard when you have a unique business and no other models to follow. My target audience is an audience that does realize they need my services, so I have to find a way to educate and market at the same time. It is tough.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Ask yourself why you are starting a business and write it down.
  2. Be open to changing your plans if things are not working out as you planned.
  3. Hire help when possible.
