What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help busy adults put more life into their years. Specializing in lifestyle medicine coaching, which includes fitness, plant-based nutrition, and coaching for people who want to prevent and manage chronic conditions, lose weight, get fit, and have more energy. Age doesn't mean an inevitable decline. I help adults start where they are, at any age, to make sustainable lifestyle changes that make a difference. With more than 25 years of experience helping people improve their health span to see the benefits and feel good at every age, this is not a fad diet or trend; these are the habits that make a difference.

Tell us about yourself

I love helping people change their health, and I want to help people understand that they can make sustainable changes that make a difference. Seeing people feel better quickly is exceptionally gratifying. It is rewarding to make a difference in someone's life. Helping people achieve their health and fitness goals, be their personal best, and thrive, is the ultimate reward.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping hundreds of people change their health and fitness in a sustainable way. I have helped people lose more than 50 pounds, reverse Type 2 Diabetes, and recover from cardiac events or injuries while helping them get fit to enjoy their future.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Juggling all the aspects of running a business. You are responsible for everything, which can take away from what you want and love to do.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find something that you don't want to stop learning about, and be curious about your business.
  2. Don't try to copy someone else or do everything that you see others doing. Focus on what you are good at doing.
  3. Take care of yourself. Take time off, exercise, shut down every night, and get enough sleep. You can't be successful if you don't take care of your health.
