What's your business, and who are your customers?

Fanny Packin' is an eco-friendly, black-owned online boutique catering to skaters first! Founded in 2020 by fashion designer and quad skater Tino Noir, Fanny Packin' offers over 150 vegan-friendly fanny pack designs to match any fit!

Fanny Packin's mission is to create an inclusive community centered around our shared love for our favorite go-bag and to give back while doing it!

Tell us about yourself

Hi, I'm Tino Noir, Skater, Artist, & Owner of Fanny Packin'. I started Fanny Packin' as a personal outlet to let my creativity shine while creating custom fits for other skaters around the world.

After much praise about the quality of my bags on Etsy, I decided it was time to share my wearable art with the masses and officially launched www.fannypackin.com in 2020 as a way to connect with people while the world shut down due to COVID.

Fast forward two years later, I'm still thriving, adding more items to the brand like Vintage Ringer Tees for Skaters, Backpacks, and the first-ever Purple Heart Progressive Pride Pin!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Never giving up.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Learning when to step back by hiring passionate people who share the same vision and motivation.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make sure you pick a niche and that it's something you truly enjoy. If you love cars, don't start a business installing AC Units. Sure, you'll make a lot of banks, but it'll be that much harder to get up and do it every day.
  2. Stay consistent.
  3. Keep journals.
