Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in dietary supplements but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Andre Ovissi, Founder of Fast Protein, located in San Jose, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Fast Protein produces protein powder products. Our customers are health-conscious consumers who want a healthy protein supplement they can trust.

Tell us about yourself

I started Fast Protein in 2018 because I was overwhelmed when shopping for protein powder in a vitamin store and online. There were so many brands and types and so much complexity in choosing the right product. I noticed so many unnecessary ingredients that did not add any value to my health – added ingredients and substitutes to increase texture or flavor - elements that have no nutritional value.

That's where the inspiration came from to produce a protein powder that respects nutritional fundamentals in a formula that is easy, healthy, and of good quality, whey powder with only five ingredients without any unnecessary stuff.

We at Fast Protein have removed the complexity for you, so you don't have to be confused about which protein powder to choose. Fast Protein is simple and convenient without compromising on nutritional value. Our whey protein provides 25 grams of pure protein per serving with no added sugar, oil, additives, or hormones. Fast Protein also uses 95% recyclable packaging for a clean, sustainable environment.

Our goal at Fast Protein is to provide the best sports nutrition products at affordable and competitive prices. Our ingredients are made in the USA and packed in a licensed FDA facility in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Start your road to a happier, healthier you with Fast Protein!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Brand awareness in the San Francisco Bay Area.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Advertising expenses and shipping costs.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Either start big (acquire venture capital) or start small. Don't start in the middle.
  2. Start from a marketplace rather than operating from your own website.
  3. Have a clear value proposition.
