Fitness Specialist - Nicole Danielle

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and fitness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Nicole Danielle, a Fitness Trainer based in Blackpool, England, UK.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a female personal trainer and online coach. I coach women to reach their fitness goals, whether that's to run 5km, achieve an 80kg squat or drop a dress size. I help my clients get fitter and stronger mentally and physically; I teach them about a healthy lifestyle and how to integrate healthy eating into their busy lives - for life, not just as a temporary diet. I live and breathe and my client's goals; I'm an ex-National level swimmer, so I bring a lot of discipline and methods I have used myself into my training style. I will coach my clients to their goals, working with them every step of the way, changing the plan as we need. I am so passionate that everyone should be able to be the best version of themselves, everyone deserves to feel great, and that's what motivates me to inspire my clients.

Tell us about yourself

My fitness journey began as an ex-national level swimmer. I was scouted at a young age and had the opportunity to train with some of the UK's top coaches and swimmers. When I stopped swimming, my passion for fitness stayed. I dabbled with other sports, but ultimately I knew I wanted to inspire others, so I trained as a personal trainer and, over the years, have refined my business and coaching style to where I am today.

I deliver mainly online fitness and nutrition coaching, which means I can train anyone from anywhere in the world, which I love. I love seeing my clients achieve their goals. I love to inspire women to be the best versions of themselves; if I can help you learn to make healthy meals and include movement in your day every day in a healthy way - that will exponentially change your life. And that is what I love.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Setting up my business in the first place, I have always been someone that lacked self-belief. I have so much knowledge around fitness, mindset, and nutrition.  I have many great coaching skills but for years lacked the confidence to just go it alone and believe I could build a successful business. As soon I started putting myself out there, I realised it was as daunting as I thought, and it opened the doors to help many, many more women.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The never being able to switch off! When you are passionate about something, and you pour your heart and soul into it, it’s hard just to switch off when you see an email pop through, or you think you can just do another 30 minutes of writing a plan when really what your brain needs is to switch off.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Believe in yourself. Take the good with the bad, and it's never too late to start.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Don’t take life too seriously; being a business owner can be really challenging and stressful but also very rewarding. Just remember that on your bad days, the sun will always set and rise again tomorrow - and so can you.
