Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Glendy Yeung, Founder of Glendy Yeung Vibrational Wellness, located in Austerlitz, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a spiritual coach, energy healer, and sound practitioner passionate about working with sensitive souls such as empaths, HSP, and spiritual seekers to expand their energetic awareness so that they are empowered to navigate their own journey to truth and healing with eyes wide open. I offer a 1:1 coaching program, energy healing session, group sound journey, and retreat.

Tell us about yourself

During my years in the technology consulting world serving Fortune 100 clients, the invisible stress drove me to search for an outlet. Little did I know the yoga classes that started out as my exercise led me down a path of esoteric spiritual studies and healing modalities. Outside of traveling to clients weekly to manage technology deployment programs, I would dedicate all of my weekends and vacations to regaining a sense of balance in the form of attending meditation retreats, studying with spiritual teachers, or practicing energy healing. I didn't know it at the time, but through these experiences, I was finally able to release the energy and stress I absorbed from the modern working world and restore my energetic fields.

In addition to my own healing, through these lenses, I got glimpses of higher truth beyond the distortions and compromises we often operate out of. When I started my business, the theme of vibration healing among the modalities and philosophies I have worked with all these years jumped out.

What started out as sharing wellness practices and experiences to restore and rejuvenate has evolved into helping those on the path deepen into who they truly are. I enjoy helping others unentangle their life patterns, activate their own abilities to sense and heal and collect a set of new tools to explore and expand on their journey.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing the positive changes in clients - from dropping medication. Navigating difficult lifelong family dynamics to activate their healing skillset to navigate the energetic world. But most of all, instilling a sense of deeper confidence and connection to themselves. Knowing they have the tools and awareness to navigate life.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It took me a while to realize running your business in and of itself is a spiritual journey! It forces you to go deep about who you are, where there are wounds to heal, and what your business stands for so that your choices in business are congruent to your values instead of following what everybody does. Essentially, it is your own unique path.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get clear on what moves you and connect with as many people that also move them - not necessarily via administrative pieces like website and social but actual connections. They can be your mentor, clients, or inspirations to fine-tune your business.
  2. The more you have discarded all the parts of you that perform to expectations and norms, the clearer you can operate your business.
  3. Drop all the things you hate (e.g., Tiktok), so they don't drain your energy that can be used to fuse something amazing and uniquely yours.
