What's your business, and who are your customers?

I run a digital marketing agency. My business specializes in offering digital marketing services to small businesses and start-ups. The services include web design, search engine optimization, social media marketing, and paid ads.

Tell us about yourself

I think I have always had that entrepreneurial spirit in me, but I was just waiting for the right time to start. Post-COVID-19, I realized that so many small businesses couldn't survive because they didn't have any online presence. I had just finished taking my certification in digital marketing at the time. So, I thought it might be the best time to use my experience and what I have learned to help small businesses around me grow their online presence. I would say the support I provide in helping small businesses around me in their struggles to grow through online platforms keeps me going each day and also just being an inspiration to other people around me.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say my biggest accomplishment is starting the business in the first place and staying in it. It's sometimes easier to say you want to own or start a business without realizing what it really entails to do so.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Challenges, I would say. It's so challenging to be a business owner, especially in situations where you have to put on many hats. You realize that there's just so much to do. By the time you are trying to accomplish one thing, there are a dozen other things you need to accomplish.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. If you want to start a business, just start it.
  2. Show up every day.
  3. Don't give up.
