Tell us about yourself

Good Health Naturally, PLLC (GHN for short) started in Vancouver, Washington, in October of 2007 as a pain relief and complementary care practice. I had previously been a Sports Massage Therapist (graduated in 1987), then became a Chiropractor (graduated in 1997), and then worked at a large sports medicine and rehabilitation center for 8.5 years. I wanted to do more health and wellness treatments, so I started GHN. I still work with people in pain and with temporary and sometimes permanent disabilities. What gets me to go to work every day is helping people maximize what health they have and helping them live their lives to the fullest. I just turned 70 years young, and people have a hard time believing how active I am and how much I get done.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

That last statement says exactly what my biggest and best accomplishment is - good health naturally for myself and everyone who sees me, and the ability to do whatever we like to do - often. Over the years, I have helped many thousands of people achieve their best health, and that is my greatest reward.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

I think what most business owners would say the hardest things are keeping up with rules and regulations and insurance company games, especially in healthcare.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Do what you love to do. Become good at it and do it efficiently. Take the time needed to get and stay healthy and enjoy your family and your friends.
