What's your business, and who are your customers?

Grande Sports Training is a soccer-specific training company that offers online and in-person training programs to soccer players of all ages and skill levels. Our unique Game Matrix Method focuses on developing fundamental skills and techniques in a game-like setting, allowing players to hone their skills while also improving their overall understanding of the game.

Our customers include soccer players who are looking to improve their skills and take their game to the next level, coaches who are seeking new training techniques to incorporate into their coaching programs, and fans of the game who are interested in learning more about soccer and its training methods. We work with players from all over the world, and our online programs allow us to reach a global audience. Our in-person training programs are based in specific locations, and we work with local soccer clubs and organizations to provide training opportunities for their players.

Our main objective is to build a close-knit community with like-minded individuals who want to grow, learn, and enjoy the process of improving through the game of soccer. Hence our slogan! "Know You're Getting Better"

Tell us about yourself

I am a professional soccer player, trainer, and player consultant with a true talent for marrying mindset with movement and creating not just well-rounded athletes but well-rounded people. Originally from Germantown, Maryland, I have traveled to many parts of the world, learning about life through the game of football. In 2016, I founded Grande Sports Training with the aim of helping soccer players of all levels to increase their game understanding, achieve their goals of playing at the next level, and improve their skills. Since then, I have managed to launch and establish a successful training business catering to all age groups and all professional levels. I have been able to grow my social media accounts over time and now reach an audience of over 200,000 across all channels, where I continuously speak and connect with soccer players all over the world to continuously help them improve in their careers.

Since the start of Grande Sports Training, I have trained a variety of clients that have successfully performed at all levels, including International level, MLS, USL Championship, USL 1, NISA, NCAA D1|D2|D3, Premier League academies, and a variety of European lower tiers. My motivation stems from the love I have for the game and the desire to help others succeed. When you are on a team, you all pull in the same direction to ensure we all win. This is why I believe that soccer has the power to bring people together and create positive change in the world. I am dedicated to providing the best possible training and coaching to all my clients, and I am constantly seeking new and innovative ways to improve my methods.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I am proud to say that my biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been turning my passion for soccer into a thriving business with Grande Sports Training. Through hard work and dedication, I have been able to build a community of loyal customers and generate a livable income doing what I love. One of the things I am most proud of is my business's impact on the soccer community. I have been able to provide valuable training and coaching to soccer players of all ages and skill levels, helping them to improve their skills and achieve their goals on the field. This has led to numerous success stories, with many of my clients going on to play at the college or professional level.

Another accomplishment that I am proud of is the strong brand presence that I have been able to establish with Grande Sports Training. By staying true to my passion for soccer and providing high-quality services, I have been able to build a reputation as a trusted and respected name in the sports training industry. This has led to increased visibility for my business and helped attract new customers and opportunities. Finally, I am proud of the fact that I have been able to turn my passion into a successful and sustainable business. By constantly seeking new ways to innovate and improve, I have been able to grow my business over time and generate a livable income doing what I love. This has allowed me to pursue my dreams and make a positive impact on the world through the sport of soccer.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

As the owner of Grande Sports Training, I have found that one of the hardest things about running this business is providing consistent valuable information to my clients while also managing my time effectively. As a soccer-specific training company, I am constantly striving to deliver content and services that resonate with my audience and help them to improve their skills on the field. In the beginning, I was also responsible for managing all aspects of the business, including finances, marketing, and customer service. Balancing these responsibilities can be a challenge, especially when there are only so many hours in the day.

Another challenge specific to my business is the need to constantly innovate and stay ahead of the competition. The world of soccer training is highly competitive, and there are always new techniques and technologies emerging that I need to stay on top of in order to provide the best possible service to my clients. Despite these challenges, I have found that staying true to my passion for soccer and my commitment to my clients is the key to success. By focusing on delivering high-quality content and services that are true to me and my brand and continually learning and growing as a business owner, I have been able to overcome these challenges and build a thriving business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Pursue YOUR passion and be patient! - Starting and running a successful business requires a lot of hard work and dedication, and it's important to stay motivated and passionate about what you're doing. If you aren't doing what you love every day, you run the risk of losing motivation and not finishing what you started. When it doesn't feel like work, it's going to be a positive feeling every day. On top of that, finding and building a community of like-minded individuals will keep you going!
  2. Make a social media page and prioritize valuable content! - Whether you're running an online or offline business, providing consistent valuable content and services is key to building a loyal customer base. Your high-quality content or services will catch people's attention, but at the end of the day, people love working with people. This means taking the time to understand your audience's needs and interests and developing a strategy for delivering content/services that resonates with them.
  3. Manage your time effectively! - We only have 24 hours in a day. Running a business requires you to wear many different hats, from CEO to accountant to marketer. This is the reality of it at the very beginning. It will be stressful and challenging, so it's important to develop a clear plan and system for managing your time, setting realistic goals and deadlines, and delegating tasks when possible. Over time, you will begin to see results and know exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. To get to this point, we all have grown through that challenging period. Make sure you follow people that have already been successful in your industry, as this will help you save time for certain tasks you may be stuck on!
