What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I'll never forget when I first started my own business; everyone said, "you can't quit; what about health insurance?!". So, a meaningful moment for me was when I was not only able to get myself health insurance but also provide it for our employees.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest part is the constant pressure that comes with it. It never goes away. You just get more comfortable with it.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get your expectations set correctly. If you expect it to be hard and take time, you'll be able to do what it takes.
  2. Get a customer first. Stop worrying about your logo or business name. Figure out if the idea is even something other people want to pay for.
  3. Start today and give it all you got. You'll either be successful, or you'll realize it wasn't something you actually wanted to do.
