What's your business, and who are your customers?
Houston Strength is a private strength and conditioning gym in the heart of the Spring Branch/Memorial area in Houston, Texas. We work with clients and athletes from all walks of life that are seeking high-performance training in an intimate environment.
Tell us about yourself
I have been working in the fitness industry since my sophomore year of college and enjoy helping my clients, and athletes experience a better quality of life and achieve the goals we set out to together.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is being able to provide for my family while pursuing professional goals that I enjoy on a daily basis.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest part of being a business owner is building and maintaining a team. I am lucky to have the coaches I do have on staff, and I look forward to our team and business growing when the time is right.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Find a product or service you are knowledgeable and passionate about.
- Focus your spending on growing your customer base in the beginning, not so much on the flashy things.
- Take care of your staff and utilize their strengths and input as you grow.
