Simplify Immigration - Immfinite

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Divyank Sood, Founder of Immfinite, located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Immfinite, we simplify immigration. Our focus is to make trustable and high-quality services immigration services accessible to businesses and individuals, including working professionals and students seeking a global move. We started our journey with Canada, but very soon, we are expanding our horizons to countries like the USA, Portugal, Australia, and more.

Tell us about yourself

I am an analytically inclined Creative entrepreneur who has always been keen on exploring the world. I love to ideate and create. To date, I have worked on three separate business ideas (from scratch). 2 still running, and one couldn't survive COVID.

I founded Immfinite in 2020, but my Immfinite story has its roots going back to 2010. I was 22 years old when I first moved to the US. I landed at Boston Logan International Airport, all by myself, for the first time ever on a plane, let alone in a foreign country. The stories I got to be a part of, the challenges that I faced, and the blunders(let’s call them learnings) I made on my journey are what made Immfinite.

Planning a move to a different country can be challenging and daunting at times. But things can be simpler. As someone who’s been through the journey as an international student, as an international skilled immigrant worker, and now as a Permanent Resident(of Canada), I have had a fair taste of all the challenges one might encounter.

This is where I work with businesses and individuals to help them reach their goals...faster!  At Immfinite, every day, I get to deal with ambitious and growth-oriented individuals who dream big. This keeps me going.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I take pride in running the show at a rapidly growing organization with a self-sustainable profit-generating model in the immigration sector, an industry(like many) that was brought down to zero during COVID.

I also co-head a supply chain management business with a turnover approaching INR 50 million with Fortune 500 companies as its clients. But Immfinite has been a special journey because somewhere, I connect deeply with the concept and also because I started Immfinite on my own.

Also, as a first-generation entrepreneur, coming from a family where both my parents have worked hard all their lives in government sector jobs, I think starting on my own entrepreneurial path was challenging.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Business is tough. And you need to be tougher. More than anything, I think the ability to be consistent and to keep yourself going every single day is the hardest part of being a business owner.

There will be days when you think of giving up. But to hold yourself up during those rough days and still be on with it the next day takes strength and courage. But I believe that these are one of the many inevitable tests that an entrepreneur has to take throughout.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My three tips will be:

  1. Try to have a clear vision: Before you get started on that idea you have always been keen to work on, try to be clear on your expectations and keep your vision clear at all times.
  2. Start small: Before you take the plunge and go all in, it's always better to work on a Minimum Viable Product(MVP), test your product on a small scale, and see if it's worth the time.
  3. Networking and more networking: Honest confession. I might be guilty of undervaluing the concept of networking when I started off on my entrepreneurial journey. I always thought I could do things on my own better. But gradually, I realized how much more one could achieve if you have the right connections.
