What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Infinite Health & Wellness, we help women live inspired lives using natural therapies and mindfulness techniques. Whether they're experiencing overwhelm, anxiety, or acute or chronic health concerns, we create a tailor-made plan to help them heal and go on to live extraordinary lives.

Tell us about yourself

When I was in my twenties, I was fortunate to meet a holistic doctor. She helped me heal from chronic anxiety and panic disorder. The results were astounding. I told everyone I knew how this method of healing had helped me. A few years later, I started my journey and studied many holistic therapies like homeopathy, acupressure, Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition, and naturopathy. I'm passionate about helping others recover from mental and emotional conditions because I know how debilitating it can be to suffer from these conditions.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Becoming a Doctor of Natural Medicine is my biggest accomplishment as a business owner. It was on my list of things to do for over a decade before I took the leap. I was a bit intimidated by the thought of it because I knew it would be a big commitment. One day I heard a voice inside me say, "today's the day." I resisted initially, but before the day was over, I took a leap of faith and enrolled. I loved every moment of the program and learned many new tools to help others.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The day-to-day running of a business is one of the most challenging things about being a business owner. There are many moving parts: marketing, finances, operations, and sales. It's easy to get distracted. And someone is always trying to sell you something - either for your clients or to help the practice run more efficiently. It can be a bit overwhelming if you don't stay focused. I have a daily planner where I write down the top 3 things I want to accomplish and stick to them. That keeps me on track and feeling accomplished.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. There will always be someone trying to sell you something that looks great but may just be a distraction. Use what you have before investing in something you may not need.
  2. When you're doing something that works, stick with it. Keep using that method until it doesn't work anymore. Only then consider changing tactics.
  3. Try not to be too hard on yourself. Running and growing a business has ups and downs, but chances are you're doing the best you can at any given time. Remember that. Most people never even try. The fact that you started a business takes great courage and perseverance. Own that.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

If owning and running a business is your dream, don't give up. Keep taking consistent action. That is where success lives.
