Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Mirek Cerny, Founder and CEO of Insightee, located in Prague, Czech Republic.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

At Insightee, we specialize in helping B2B companies increase their revenues through smart data analytics. We also offer data coaching services to help individuals become successful data professionals. Our clients include small to medium-sized businesses as well as large corporations in various industries.

Tell us about yourself

I've been passionate about data analytics, business intelligence, and AI for over 22 years. After gaining experience on more than 75 projects for various companies worldwide, I realized that there was a significant need for effective data solutions in the B2B sector. This motivated me to start Insightee, where I can help companies achieve their full potential through data-driven strategies.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Building Insightee into a successful B2B data analytics company has been a great accomplishment for me. However, what I'm most proud of is the personal growth I've experienced since my first startup failed. I've learned from my mistakes and developed my leadership and communication skills, which have been invaluable in growing my business.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the most challenging aspects of being a business owner is overcoming self-sabotaging behaviors and limiting beliefs. I've found that it's essential to work on personal growth alongside business growth to achieve success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Build your business around data and data analytics, as it can provide valuable insights that can inform business strategies and increase revenue.
  2. Seek help from a mentor or coach who can provide guidance and help you work through any personal limitations that may be holding you back.
  3. Focus on B2B opportunities, as they tend to be more straightforward than B2C and offer long-term business relationships.
