What's your business, and who are your customers?

Ivy Chain Advisory is a Business Management Consulting Firm that develops customized strategies, plans, and solutions for client companies. Our main goal is to help business owners overcome hurdles and gain the space needed to focus on core competencies. We suggest solutions and are ready to implement them. Our Principal holds two Ivy-League degrees and has worked at both Fortune 500 and Start-Up companies, bringing a unique mix of value and experience to each situation.

Tell us about yourself

Each day as a consultant is different, and you know that all projects, large or small, are truly making a difference for the client. This is exciting, impactful, and rewarding.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

So far, as we approach year 3, I have been able to support my contractors through flexible opportunities which allow them to prioritize family or other projects while still contributing to the success of our clients. I look for this balance in my life, and I want to provide it to others.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I continually work to prioritize the operation of the business against client needs, and each day, what is prioritized is different but working on both of these avenues is important as contributing to the robustness of the business ultimately benefits my clients also as it enables the best servicing of each project.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

If you are interested in starting a business, you should think about three things:

  1. Have you considered the cost and logistics of healthcare - the US is not friendly towards small business owners in this regard, and it is a large expense.
  2. Do you have time to both manage the administrative aspects of your business and provide the best service - the transition from corporate benefits to self-provided is no small leap.
  3. You can do it! If you have the passion and the diligence to be self-disciplined, there is nothing stopping you from capturing your market.
