What's your business, and who are your customers?
My company focuses on helping those without business mentors receive coaching to help them either find a career they love or grow inside their current company. This is usually a wide age group. Currently, I help those with public speaking with my course Impactful Public Speaking. Later this year, in 2023, I will be releasing Career Volt Academy, which will help those have a more clear direction where they want to go with their career, and tools are given to help them grow either inside or outside of their company.
Tell us about yourself
I started out by wanting to continue to help others and be able to help those without mentorship bridge the gaps from where they are to where they want to be. After working on the DEI council for one of the companies that I worked for, I was truly inspired by the stories that I heard. It really opened my eyes that not everyone has the same opportunities. I started my company in 2020 and have been coaching those who want mentorship. Thus far, it is a very rewarding business, and that is what motivates me that I am making an impact on others.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Right now, my biggest accomplishment is making online courses and coaching programs. This is really beneficial to my customers but is something that has been a massive task to get started and set up.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Getting started the amount of work to get started inside the coaching sector is the work you need to put in before you get clients.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Decide your niche and what it is that you want to do.
- Outline what it is specifically you want to do and plan out an action plan for others that will help them yield results.
- 3 Incorporate into an LLC - This is really important, and I cannot stress enough
