Wellness group facilitation and individual coaching serving the community and workplace.
Tell us about yourself
I am a 52-year-old woman, partner of 28 years, and mother to two teens. I began my healing journey 16 years ago when my daughter was born and truly reclaimed my truth and purpose for the past 6 years. I have learned many healing and wellness modalities that have helped me and that I am now certified in to support and guide others. Jothi Creative Wellness was birthed from my journey back in 2016. I have many motivations that keep me going each day, and that is honouring myself, my source, my ancestors, my children, my community, and the legacy that I want to leave behind.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have been and continue to be recognized by my community and have won multiple awards for my practice. The biggest accomplishment is recently securing a multi-year contract with CBC Canada!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Outsourcing has been a challenge for me because my business means so much to me. I want anyone who I am working with to understand the value of what I do and honour it in the ways that I do. I know now, through lots of hard work, that we don't build alone and that it takes a village to foster and nurture the growth of a business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Ask for help and be clear about what it is you want and need.
- Don't be discouraged; remember your "WHY" and keep going!
- Value what you offer, and don't undercharge...charge your worth!
