What's your business, and who are your customers?
Pandora Pilates & Physical Therapy is a boutique wellness center that blends fitness with recovery. Our community of clients and patients mostly consists of locals who value their health and consistently strive to improve and better themselves with the best possible guidance.
Tell us about yourself
I am originally from Moldova, grew up in Israel, and graduated from the University of Miami with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I've always enjoyed and taught fitness, but my fascination with Anatomy and Kinesiology and my passion for healing people led me to my career path as a Physical Therapist. I started very small, first seeing people in a room at my house to renting a narrow space inside of a gym, and now finally growing my dream studio! I thrive when I see my clients smiling, feeling better, and growing together as a community.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I am very proud of being able to hire and manage an amazing team of professionals. Each and every staff member has been hand-picked. I host special workshops and training sessions for my staff and offer them opportunities to try each other's services, to socialize, and to work better as a team serving our clients in the best possible way.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Realizing that you never really stop being ON! As an owner, your business is your baby; you have to tend to it, nourish it and take care of it at all times. Your presence is very important.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Plan it, and take the risk! Nothing happens unless you make it.
- Expect to work hard and that nothing will go smoothly.
- You cannot please everyone, but if your heart is in the right place, your intentions are pure, the clients and employees will feel it, and the business will flow.
