What's your business, and who are your customers?

Do you know how women often hold back from sharing their ideas due to self-doubt? I'm on a mission to change that! I'm a professional speaker serving corporate women leaders over 40 who want to speak with confidence in both their presence and their message.

Tell us about yourself

I'm a follower of dreams! I moved from Minnesota to San Francisco in my 20's because it was a dream of mine. Then after a long career in HR, corporate training, and communications consulting working for brands like Google, Facebook, Netflix, and Sephora, I left my corporate job in 2020 at 52 years old to launch my business. What motivates me is empowering women to find their voice. I'm on a mission to reach 10 million women to speak with confidence.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Showing up every day, even when it's hard! Writing my book ("Trust Your Own Voice") is my biggest accomplishment thus far.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The ups and downs - inconsistent income - and knowing the buck stops with you!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Trust your gut. You know more than you think.
  2. Focus on one specialty and one target audience. Don't try to be all things to everyone.
  3. Stay the course and keep showing up. It will pay off!
