Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Ramin Schultz, Founder of Keebos, located in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

After misplacing, dropping, and losing my phone way too many times, it was time to find a better solution to carry my phone. As smartphones keep getting bigger and also more expensive, Keebos crossbody phone cases are the perfect solution to carry your phone without compromising on style. Whether going on a walk, dog walk, riding your bike, or traveling - we make sure that our phone accessory combines the following:

  1. Functional
  2. Fashionable
  3. Qualitative
  4. Sustainable

For each Keebos purchased, one tree is planted, and I want to thank everyone who has been part of this journey.

Tell us about yourself

After years in Marketing at Nike, I started consulting multiple startups, scale, and exit. After that, I started my own company and teach entrepreneurship classes at the University of Southern California (USC). It motivates me and makes me happy when I see people I don't know in public wear and love their Keebos case.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I don't think there is one big accomplishment; it's all the small learnings every day that I make that compound over time.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a startup founder is that you always have to wear multiple hats, including those of a CEO, marketer, salesperson, and product manager, among others. Finding the right balance between what to spend your time on can be challenging.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. To create a thriving company, collaborating with others is crucial. My recommendation is to establish yourself as a dependable and high-integrity individual. Cultivate long-term relationships with fellow business partners. These relationships have the potential to multiply in value over time as trust is built and strengthened. Don't shy away from sharing information, as there is enough to go around for everyone. By working together to seize opportunities, we can collectively expand the pie and achieve success for all.
  2. Remember that it takes time to build a successful business. Don't get hung up on the overnight success stories; it's almost never like that.
  3. Keep learning; there is always more to learn when growing a business in the different stages of it.
