What's your business, and who are your customers?

I help coaches and healers who are struggling to be seen and heard online create client-attracting content, including creating courses that sell and automate it so that they can stop working 14-hour days and attract a steady stream of clients and leads every single day.

Tell us about yourself

I help healers, business, and life coaches dial in and implement their content strategy so that they can attract more customers into their practice. 7+ years ago, I was a struggling virtual assistant afraid to go on vacation because I was at the beck and call of my clients. I was miserable, and I remember one specific vacation where we were in Palm Springs, and everyone was outside enjoying the pool and relaxing… Where was I? Inside slaving away because I had created a monster, a thriving business full of clients who needed me so much that they would freak out if I wanted to go on vacation. And I was the only one doing the work.

I realized that I could no longer go on this way for the sake of my health and that of my marriage. As a result, I took my #1 most requested service, which was content creation and marketing, and turned it into an easy-to-replicate and delegatable offering. I tested it out on myself and my clients, and the results were frankly amazing! Using the Rapid Content Creation System plus the Right Content at The Right Time framework, not only were we finally creating content their audiences wanted using a repeatable method, but their traffic, audiences, and paying clients also grew.

My client Todd Creager has been able to add at least 25k to his bottom line year after year and didn't see a downturn in his business during the lockdown. In fact, his business exploded, and he has doubled his rates and has an 8-week waiting list of people wanting to work with him.

Fast forward to today, I've designed my dream business where I serve an elite group of 1:1 clients, and I teach coaches, healers, and consultants how to create and automate their content using the Rapid Content Creation System following the Right Content at the Right Time method which I teach right inside my Smart Simple Content Creation and Automation Course so that they too can get the same results as my private 1:1 clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Discovering how to create and automate content that helps grow my client's businesses, then turning that method, the Right Content at the Right Time Method, into an automated system that my team helps me run for my clients. I also have taught this same method to thousands of students in my online course Smart Simple Content Marketing.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It is knowing how to price your services and courses so that you can make a profit and build a team so that you don't have to do it all yourself!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Create a signature method or system that you can talk about in your marketing to help yourself stand out and create the desire for your services or courses. This gives you the ability to talk about what you do in your content in a way that helps you to show up as an expert and differentiate yourself from your competition.
  2. Build systems for your business and have a team to help you run your business. I started out as a lone service provider, and I didn't have any systems in place, so I couldn't go on vacation without working. Once I built a team and automated my services, I was able to go on vacation and work shorter weeks but still provide my clients with marketing services without being involved.
  3. Pricing - if you are offering services or coaching, you need to know how to calculate the time involved with working with clients 1:1 and price yourself so that you have enough of a markup to make a profit. I learned this about ten years ago in a mastermind, and this was a game changer for me as I wasn't pricing my services high enough. As a result, I attracted better clients who were more willing to do the work and get results.
