What's your business, and who are your customers?

Leadership development via coaching and consulting. I am looking specifically for those leaders who put people first, are committed to improving as a leader, and are ready to look at all aspects of their life to help them become the leader they were meant to be.

Tell us about yourself

Covid-19 was the push I needed to start my business. I was laid off because of the pandemic and decided that was a sign that it was time for me to do what I had planned on doing a few years into the future - start my own coaching/consulting practice.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

The only accomplishment I care about is being able to help leaders become the best version of themselves. Luckily, I've been very blessed and have been able to do just that.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

For me, it has been work/life balance. As a solopreneur, it's all on me from a business perspective. But with a young daughter, I have to be able to put work away and focus on her too.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be passionate about what you do.
  2. Serve, serve, serve.
  3. Rely on your network - and if you don't have much of one now, start building it immediately!
