What's your business, and who are your customers?

I teach local business owners how to market their business for free by getting to the top of Google.

Tell us about yourself

I started with SEO & Google Business Optimization because, as a small business owner, I saw what happened to my business when I was at the top of Google and what happens when you lose those top spots to competitors. That drove me to learn everything I could about SEO and local ranking on Google, so I could get my business back to the top and my phone ringing again. Now I do SEO work for local businesses, and I also teach business owners who want to do it themselves.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Getting and staying at the top of Google. And watching my SEO clients get their websites to the top of Google.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Time management and organization.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start! Even if you don't know exactly where your business will lead, have a loose target in mind and take steps each day that will lead you there.
  2. The power of 5 minutes. People often say they don't have time to do it all. But there are so many small tasks that can make big changes in your business, and they can be done pretty quickly. Use those little segments when you typically scroll Facebook or Insta and pick a quick task to move your business forward.
  3. Focus on what you do best and hire the best you can afford to handle the rest. We cannot be good at every part of our business.
