Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal and business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Etienne Garbugli, founder and CEO of Lean B2B, located in Montreal, QC, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Through popular books, engaging keynotes, tailored coaching programs, and online or in-person training, my company, Lean B2B, helps business-to-business (B2B) entrepreneurs and innovators build products businesses want.

Tell us about yourself

In 2013, when my second startup failed, a process began. I needed to figure out how to build and grow tech businesses in B2B. I spent a year interviewing successful B2B founders / researching B2B customer development. The research led to the creation of The Lean B2B Methodology and the publication of the book Lean B2B.

Today, after having helped thousands of entrepreneurs and innovators, our mission remains to meaningfully increase the success rate of B2B ventures. That's what keeps us motivated day after day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Thousands of entrepreneurs and innovators have used the Lean B2B Methodology to help make their products successful on the market.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Focus. Knowing where to put your energies.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Always be building.
  2. Long-term consistency trumps short-term intensity (that's a quote from Bruce Lee).
  3. The games worth playing are the games that compound.
