Tell us about yourself

I have always loved a very active lifestyle. Prior to opening my studio, I was an NFL cheerleader for 3 years. I cheered in two super bowls and was named Rookie of the Year my first year and team captain my final year. Following my career in the NFL, I became a Registered Nurse. After my first child was born, I began teaching fitness classes and developed a passion for helping women to live a healthier lifestyle to prevent illness and promote strength and wellness. I took a leap of faith and left my career as a nurse and opened live love BARRE. That was ten years ago now!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is surviving through the global COVID pandemic. There were many tears and sleepless nights, but with hard work and lots of determination, the studio continues to thrive today.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

As a business owner, I have learned that it is impossible to please everyone. You have to be fair, and you have to follow your gut instincts at every single turn. People will let you down. You will let yourself down too. You just have to keep taking the next step, and you have to believe in what your business has to offer.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Have unwavering confidence in yourself. Be flexible and creative. Never give up.…not for one second.
