What's your business, and who are your customers?
I help entrepreneurs create lifestyle businesses. A Lifestyle business is one that generates enough income to support the lifestyle of the owner.
Tell us about yourself
When I completed my MBA at the University of Notre Dame, I knew that I wanted to do something different. I had been working in upper management for a major insurance company, and I wanted to leave the big fish and go out and help the little guys. I created my own company and jumped into the world of small businesses. I love helping people make their dreams come true.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have successfully helped new businesses get funding so many times, and each one is always special to me.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is when you are in an industry or market that is suffering, and you think that working harder will make a difference or that you can still pilot a boat that has sunk under water.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do something that you are passionate about.
- Don't risk more than you can afford to lose.
- Take every opportunity to enjoy the moment and look for synergies with other companies.
