What's your business, and who are your customers?
I sell handmade polymer clay earrings. My customers are women who love to wear fun earrings!
Tell us about yourself
I am a mom to 3 boys and a part-time administrative assistant. I decided to start making clay earrings as a creative outlet and quickly grew a passion for it! I decided to share this passion with others. My family has been so supportive in this new endeavor; they encourage me daily to keep growing.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a new business owner has been seeing my customers enjoy my product. I was so excited about my first sale, and every time someone delights in my art, it inspires me to keep going.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing I’ve found has been trying to keep up with others doing similar things. It is such an inspiring space, and I have found that when I just focus on what works best for me, I’m not as worried about the comparison.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Three tips I would give include taking the risk of what you love to do, don’t give up when things become challenging, and don’t let comparison knock you down. There is space for everyone to share and grow as a business!
