What's your business, and who are your customers?

Tell us about yourself

I am the founder of and the creator of BuildLab. I started the company in 2019 after 12 years as a marketing agency owner, personal advisor to several digital product businesses, and the head of sales and marketing for several physical products and services startups that were all doing several 7-figures in annual revenue. Since then, we've helped 1,000's clients launch and scale fun life-changing online businesses.

My entrepreneurial journey began in 2007 when I started my first business, and my own online business earnings have continued to grow past 7-figures. Through that experience, I have discovered the frameworks, processes, methods, and mindset needed to achieve success, fulfillment, and consistency, all of which make me feel energetic and satisfied.

When it comes to online businesses that sell courses, coaching, mentoring, information, consulting, or services, I have the experience, understanding, and know-how to help you grow exponentially. Ultimately, nothing helps humans discover who they are faster than entrepreneurship.

As part of its mission, the creator industry helps people develop to the next level. This is done by solving problems and making life on the planet easier for the next generation. It is my goal to play a part in the evolutionary process of humans. That is why I am so committed and passionate about helping the creator industry thrive.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been helping my clients start from nothing and grow an online business that has provided them and their families with freedom both in their finances as well as their time.

Outside of that, my personal achievement as an entrepreneur is I've unlocked leverage and discovered the system that allows me to get paid for my knowledge instead of my time.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The ability to show up consistently each and every day despite the challenges life may be throwing at you. Being able to keep the same excitement each and every day for years that made someone start their business in the first place. Being able to constantly focus on what actually moves the needle instead of shiny objects and opinions.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Find a problem to solve that gets you excited, and solve it better than anyone else.
  2. Create a simple automated system, know your numbers, and build an email list of the people who have the problem you solve so you can sell those people on the list the solution.
  3. Show up consistently each day, creating organic content that shares why you matter to your customer with a focus on how you understand their situation and drive them to your funnel so you can grow your list.
