What's your business, and who are your customers?

Marpai Health is the industry's first SMART TPA. We support the self-funded marketplace with much-needed health care solutions focusing on the member. We support employers from 50 to 10,000 lives and provide access to Aetna, Cigna, and other high-performance networks, RBP, and affordable PBM solutions.

Our AI/Deep Learning drives member engagement through pokes, nudges, and clinical oversight calls to drive members on their best Health journeys. We should be talking to employers and brokers who care about a better experience for their employees, seek the best outcomes, and wish to be directed to the 10% of providers at a fair price. Marpai helps create healthier and happier employees while reducing overall health plan costs.

Tell us about yourself

I have my degree in Health Science and Business Administration and have been in the Healthcare industry for over 25 years. My family fell victim to our broken healthcare system when my father took ill with cancer, and my mother was left with nothing but a stack of bills. Early detection and proper coordination of care did not exist or were just poorly done, if at all. The BUCAs have continued to be a major part of the problem and are not willing, innovative, or agile enough to do what we at Marpai Health will do to change the market.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have successfully launched several leading HC Tech products that are used today. Including a leading (start-up) E-Payment company, Care Mobile APP, an RBP solution with in-house legal support, and many more. Marpai is amazing in so many ways... yes, we deliver a great product to employers, but my favorite part is the people we have surrounded ourselves with. These are leaders in every department, including a former SPBA Chairperson, our President of Product Development from Google, and led by an extremely successful CEO in the tech space.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

As only one of the leaders here at Marpai, I can only say that navigating the many broken aspects of our healthcare system creates many challenges for TPAs, brokers, and healthcare providers.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Only one! Find out what drives you and what you are most passionate about, and build something you would give to your mother and something she would benefit from!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

This industry is ripe for innovation/AI and technology combined with clinical oversight. Real actuarial Health Care Leaders have said, "What you're doing is different and so far ahead of everyone else. It will take them a decade to catch up."
