What's your business, and who are your customers?
Pub Milos, as we like to call it, is a craft beer local. Our customer community is incredibly diverse across gender, ages, and preferences. Some come for beer only, some for beer and food, and others just for food.
Tell us about yourself
I started in the hospitality field in Europe when I was 15. That was 49 years ago. And I still love it! I love the people and their life stories. Every day brings a new story and new people.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
We survived the last three years in large part because of the support from our customers. The fact that we are well respected in the industry and community makes my heart sing.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Dealing with the staff is definitely the hardest part of being an owner. Sometimes, one has to make the decision for the good of the place…. However, your employees can also be one of the greatest joys of being an owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Think long and hard about it and what motivates you. Be ready for long hours, sleepless nights, and tough decisions. Pick something that you truly love, and pray you will do it for the rest of your life.
